The Idea of Organization...Any Thoughts?

Organization is something that fascinates me. It occurs to me that the difference between a chest of drawers and a pile of sawdust is how it's organized. In some ways, for me, the organization of something is more important than the actual substance of something. Looking at the organization of anything and everything, you start to see how universal it is. I wonder if that isn’t an aspect of spirit as well. It’s a non physical thing that is that determines the physical manifestation of things. The existence of organization in the universe has been used to infer the existence of God. Maybe it does, maybe it doesn’t. We understand a thing only in it’s relationship to something else, which is again just organization. There really isn’t anything in the universe but organization so there is nothing to compare or contrast it to. Even what we think of as chaos has it’s own certain kind of organization. I wonder if there could ever be any such thing as a series of random numbers because it is defined by it’s lack of pattern, which is a pattern (in the same way that a negative number is still a quantity). Hmmm…

Any thoughts, anyone?

Logic of Dimensions

Consider a point. A point is a reference and thus has an infinitely small dimension, on an infinitely small plane. Everything in geometry is based on the point, so we'll call it's plane zero-dimensional, or 0-D, the dimensional origin.

From a 0-D plane we move to a 1-D plane, usually denoted as an x-axis. Now a 1-D has a dimensional value, usually called length, and a geometric figure, denoted as a line. A line of course is simply an infinite number of points across given interval. A 1-D plane can be said to be perpendicular to a 0-D plane, being that any plane beyond a 0-D plane is perpendicular to a 0-D plane due to the fact that it is without dimension.

A 2-D plane is simply two 1-D planes perpendicular to each other, which suggests that a 1-D plane is two 0-D planes perpendicular to each, which reinforces this compound perpendicularity theory. The 2-D geometric figure is a polygon, which can be defined as an infinite number of lines, either of varing lengths and/or continuity or not, across a given interval. With this definition one can construct any kind of 2-D geometric figure.

A 3-D plane is three 1-D planes perpendicular to each other (or one 1-D plane perpendicular to a 2-D plane) following this logical pattern. A 3-D geometric figure, following the respective patter of geometry, can be defined as an infinite number of 2-D geometric figures, either of varying lengths and/or widths, and/or continuity, or not, across a given interval. Thus one can construct any kind of 3-D geometric figure.

Continuing with this logic, one can mathematically define an infinite number of dimensions.

For example, a 4-D plane must be four 1-D planes perpendicular to each other (which is equal to one 1-D plane perpendicular to a 3-D plane, as well as two 2-D planes perpendicular to each other. Each axis of the plane must be perpendicular to every other axis of the plane.) A 4-D geometric figure would be an infinite number of 3-D figures of varying lengths and/or widths and/or heights, and/or continuity, or not, across a given interval.

Taken to infinity, the n-D plane must be n 1-D planes perpendicular to each other, one 1-D plane perpendicular to one (n-1)-D plane, etc etc. An n-D geometric figure would bee an infinite number of (n-1)-D figures of varying values, and/or continuity, or not, across a given interval.

and the trail always continues... I looked as I'm prone to do... I choose now to find, blaze, and re-blaze the trails... the Butterfly was caught in my mind... do you know what the ancient Greek word for butterfly is? I don't remember knowing this before a few days ago... It has multiple meanings... but the word for butterfly as we know it today, is Psyche...

but... I'm not "caught" on this butterfly layer either... I've seen the Self reflecting the Self, and even residing in itself without reflection... I know each reference layer holds beauty and magick for sure, but each is also only an illusory step away from union and a plane of convergence through which the synchronicity swirls do spin... reaching backwards into me

I would, however, Love to raise the center of gravity of my share of Being to the Butterfly of Light level... to dwell, onwards and upwards...

Enlightenment is the bliss of knowing where you are coming from and where you are going to and why. You are coming from and going to infinite perfection. Enlightenment is understanding that your purpose is to give and receive unending fulfillment. Enlightenment is also understanding that how this is accomplished cannot be reasoned because the means of accomplishing this feat is to abandon reason. To be filled one must first become empty. It can only be said that you cast away your oneness (this is where you give and this is where the illusion begins). Because this is just an illusion, being in this imperfect state cannot last forever. The result is that when it ends, you awaken to the joy and peace of your unchanged infinite perfection (this is where you receive and this is where the illusion ends). This cycle is infinite.

You are God

Note to self:

You are god. This may seem very egotistical, but actually it becomes clear that it’s just the opposite as you come to understand the next statement.

You are alone. This does not mean that you loose your family, friends and loved ones that gave you so much comfort throughout your life; it just means that they were never separate from you to begin with. They are within you.

Your mind creates the world around you. When you die you do not dissolve back into the world around you but instead the world dissolves back into your mind.

When you come into this world you have departed from reality into a world of illusion. You have departed from the real and eternal into the unreal and temporary. This is a paradox because you never really left in the first place. There is no reason for this journey because by its very nature something that is untrue is also unreasonable and so it is that there can be no answer to the question why. It is simply natural that you are not perfect in this world and that you grow old and die. These are the characteristics of that which is not true.

Your higher self (God) is no more concerned about this process than you are concerned about falling asleep at night or expelling a breath. In fact, this process is the breath of life itself and eternal awakening.

Innumeracy

I seem to be intelligent at everything but , I seem to have a premise with little understanding of mathmatics.

I graduated from highschool a year ago and right now I work at a fair job making ends meat salary until I turn 21 where I plan to be a patrol officer.

I would go to college or extra schooling , but I know in my mind how terrible I am mathmatics of all kinds.

What type of person is good and intelligent at everything , but is almost completely innumerate?

Am I just some poor intellectual scholar bum?

Am I a freak of nature?

It bothers me everyday.

Dragons

So I've tried looking up the meanings/connotations/correspondences of the colors and the number of toes on dragons, and I can't find shit. I've heard that one of the differences between Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc. dragons are the number of toes, and that in China, dragons usually have three toes (per foot), and four toes when superior/royal. This kind of thing is not what I'm looking for. What does two toes mean per foot? Three? Four? Five? As in terms of good luck, bad luck, power, wealth, whatever. And what do blasted colors mean? I haven't been able to find anything on color correspondences for dragons! Help?

Spiritual Theory of Everything

For the entire second half of Einstein's life he was searching for another miracle equation, maybe somewhat like E=MC². He wanted it to be a simple equation, perhaps no longer than an inch long that would allow him to read the mind of God. I'm not sure if he really wanted to read God's mind or if he just wanted to know why we are all here and what we are supposed to be doing. He felt very strongly that he was onto something. While he never quite found it he worked on it until he died. The fact that he spent that much time on it makes me think that such a thing could actually exist. He was Einstein wasn't he? If such an equation did exist it could potentially serve as guide to what the terms of the final judgment are.

What would that mean to all of you out there if this equation was ready to emerge?

Conditioned Response and Human Interaction~A Look Into Conscious Communication

The importance of these concepts have impacted me just today while thinking of the world in general and what steps we should all be taking to improve global awareness and consciousness. Changing the world starts within each and every part of the whole so to expand on an individual level, we must recognize our downfalls and start taking steps within ourselves. My personal steps are detailed below after an explanation of how I arrived at my conclusions.

The human mind is a vast sea of unconscious conditions. Example: You see a homeless person walking down the street and for some reason he/she catches more than just your passing glance, without notice the mind has pulled information from past experience with homeless people (live experience, media-based, word-of-mouth) and you have built a virtual world that you assume that person lives in. This virtual world contains all the ingredients necessary for you to react to your created image of that homeless soul. In all actuality, you may be so completely mistaken that if the truth does not fit into your created mental existence (i.e. the person chooses to be homeless) the shock of it will make it difficult for you to unmake the world you have created and re-create a new one based on fact. Or you will somehow change the truth to satisfy your created reality out of pure lack of wanting to work to change your view.

Some more examples:
~Your boss or manager at work or owner of the company
~Casual acquaintances
~Love prospects
~Politicians
~Celebrities and media personalities
~Religious leaders

Ask yourself if you have ever made a judgment on a person based on little or no interaction with that person (physical appearance, gossip, observation of a behavior). Then ask yourself have you ever been wrong. I have been wrong and everyone I have asked has been wrong at some point. You are unconsciously drawing bits and pieces from that sea of experience inside your mind to formulate a personality type so you can decide how to respond. It's actually an amazing event to witness the efficiency of the mind and it's ability to do these things without any effort by the conscious. But it doesn't make the resulting virtual world any less artificial.

We cannot expect to change these conditioned behaviors in one profound insight. They are so deep-seated within the unconscious mind that most times you don't even recognize their existence.

First Step: Recognition. Any change for the better comes with the admission of a downfall within yourself. "I" have done this and maybe "I" should think of a better way. Simply learn to recognize when you are making the mistake again. But it takes conscious effort and may not be so simple to master, but as in any task practice is the key to mastery.

Second step: Practice~Easy. When you recognize that you are creating illusions, then you can begin to break-down and break-through those illusions to approach situations with a clean slate, no conditioned expectations of some result. Approach a new person without assumptions, preconceived notions based on anything physical about them. Approach them with the genuine intention of getting to know the person they ARE, not one you THINK they are. Your genuine interest may shine through and the exchange will be authentic interaction between two conscious people making a real connection.

Step three: Practice~Hard. Using the same steps above, approach someone you already know and for whom you already have a created reality for. See them through new eyes as being just another you or an extension of you. They do the same things you do; go to the bathroom, eat, sleep, feel, wonder, cry, laugh, worry. Start a genuine conversation without the illusory world you already see them living.

Practice makes perfect. Keep doing this until every interaction with another person becomes it's own genuine experience and soon enough the unconscious effort that your mind has always put forth to form that imaginary existence for another will become the conscious effort of seeing the world through eyes that are more aware and with a more authentic and connected existence.

At first, the answer is simple: alcohol is a means of celebration especially in public and social situations, like that of the transition from one yearly Julian calendar to the next. But when you look at it this way, it doesn’t seem quite as appropriate:

“Yeah! Let’s go out and shit-faced so we can wake up and start the new year off the RIGHT way: with a HANGOVER!”

Meditation for dynamic living, enlightened beings

Hello everyone.

Well, there are many ways to meditate as stated in books and such, but i believe one needs a true Guru/master who has perfected the meditation techniques and is capable of empowering/initiating someone. i've met a Guru like that, and have been taught several techniques which includes a divine shield, healing techniques, goal achieving technique, breathing and meditation. Please read on to find out more. By the way, i'm posting this in other tribes as well, and if this isn't the first time you saw/read this post, i'm sorry.

The Guru's name is Yoga Jnana Sitthar Om Sri Rajayoga Guru Saranam. His Divine Grace is the most powerful sitthar on earth right now who is helping common people like us by initiating/ empowering us. "sitthars" are extremely powerful and enlightened beings who normally would not associate themselves with common people like us. They would be living in forests, mountains etc and meditating there. Sitthars are capable of doing absolutely anything. These beings are able to transform themselves into a mountain/ change into an atom/ materialise things from thin air/ walk on water etc - anything at all! There are many enlightened beings like this at this moment, but only this being right now has chosen to come down and help commoners. In the olden times, commoners who would like to be empowered/ initiated by an enlightened being would have to separate themselves from their family members, and go to the jungles, to live there. They would be staying there serving the Guru that they had chosen, washing the Guru's clothes and doing other services for the Guru. However, at the end of the period of time (which is normally 12 years), it's up to the Guru whether he/she would want to empower that particular person with a particular technique, say the divine shield technique etc. In other words, a commoner who goes to the forests to serve the Guru after a period of 12 years MIGHT be blessed with a divine shield if the Guru is pleased with the disciple's work. Also, the disciples are mostly blessed with A particular technique, and not a bunch of them that i've stated. So, the 12 years is cut down to a one-day course now. Amazing, huh? It's truly a blessing if you ask me. I've been a disciple of His Divine Grace since june 2001, and have been seeing miracles happening before my eyes.

To become a disciple of His Divine Grace, one must attend a programme where he/she would be taught the techniques that i've mentioned earlier. There are no restrictions to take this programme whatsoever, that is, one need NOT become a vegetarian/ quit smoking/ drinking etc if one takes this programme. One would be initiated by His Divine Grace, and would be free to do as he/she pleases. If one practices the techniques taught, one would see miracles happening. This programme would benefit anyone in both, their spiritual AS WELL AS their material life.

Taking the divine shield technique as an example, can you imagine having a divine shield around you 24/7?? meaning you'd be protected from all kinds of dangers - black magic, murders, voodoo, accidents and so on. As one practices the divine shield technique, the shield gets bigger and stronger over time. Say for example, someone took this programme and practised the divine shield technique, and later he got into an accident. But he only escaped with minor bruises on his face. His whole car was smashed etc, but he escaped unharmed. That is the beginning stage. If one even gets into an accident, he/she is saved..but as i mentioned earlier, as one practices the technique, the divine shield gets stronger and stronger, and those kinda incidents wouldn't happen in the first place.

I've had countless numbers of experiences by the blessings of my Master. For example, i used to have asthma, and the specialist told me that asthma is a sickness which cannot be cured, but can only be controlled etc. However, after practicing the healing technique, i've been completely cured from it, and am an asthma-free person till today.

There was this another miracle experienced by another disciple that i know of. He was in the driver seat (with the seat-belt put on), and no one else were there with him at that time. So anyway, as he was driving he got rammed into by a truck and the front part of his car (upto the driver's seat got smashed). The thing was after the accident, the guy realised that he was in the passenger seat (next to the driver seat), with the seat-belt put on. It was like he got transferred from the driver's seat to the passenger's seat before the accident to prevent him from being dead (he sure would have been dead if he was in the driver's seat).

I could go on and on you see, relating experiences, but i'd move on for now.

There is a small payment which is Ringgit Malaysia 730 (a site to convert the Malaysian Ringgit currency to whatever currency your country is using: www.xe.com/ucc/convert.cgi ) that needs to be made. The money goes for all the poojas that His Divine Grace needs to do before initiating a commoner. This is cause before His Divine Grace can initiate a commoner, part of that person's karma must be absorbed first by His Divine Grace. By the way, these poojas are done in several places in the world by this Guru. I believe that another reason why commoners are supposed to pay to enroll themselves in this programme is cause if one gets it free, one would most likely not appreciate it. On the other hand, if one actually pays a certain amount of hard-earned money, he/she would not want the money to be lost uselessly, and would tend to practice the techniques taught. Some people have told me that the Guru is trying to do some money-making schemes here. LOL. Do you know how ironic that is? Considering the fact that beings like this are capable of materialising the money by themselves, out of thin air.

I once came there's this beautiful quote, which i'd like to share with all of you here: "As we walk on the path of light, we come in touch with the ultimate truth and that ultimate truth is the recognition of being a spirit or soul. We recognize that this human life has a purpose and that the purpose is to not only know ourselves, not only know that we are spirit or soul, but to have our soul merge in God, the source from which we all came. As we understand the purpose of our existence, as we learn the truth, we then try our very best to make that truth available to others."

So that's exactly what i'm trying to do - spreading the Light/ the good word as i've already seen it working for me. It has worked for thousands of people as well.

I've told this to many people online before and some of them found it hard to believe, like it's too good to be true or something, but anyway, i feel it's my duty to let everyone know that something like this truly exists.

Just joined your tribe, but i guess it's ok for me to start a new topic anyway. well, it's not exactly new (is anything?)...it's a spin-off, i guess of the question put forth by 'Mike' in a previous topic:

"The question I attempted to pose was "can a person negate the effects of the reality around them (in this case gravity) simply by truly believing he can, or does everything that exists within that reality have to believe it before it is possible?"

We do create our own reality, which also affects others' reality, and we're all connected in this sense (and probably other senses, as well), but to actually have any kind of power i think we must be in agreement with a greater divine power or to put it another way to be on the 'right' path. When we're on that path and feel we are doing the 'right' thing, then that's when the synchronicities start to happen on a daily or even minute to minute basis. And it feels like we're in communication with the will of the universe or God, whatever you want to name 'it'.
i think at this point anything is possible and we can go beyond any physical/natural boundaries, but i also feel a strong sense of the struggle between good and evil which is at the core of existence, and that this is what we're 'agreeing' to- to choose to be on either one side or the other (so you can get personal Power from either side).
I realize this view of reality turns many people off, but is that just because they abhor having the responsibility of making that decision and living up to it? An idividual's truth is relative to their situation, but there is still an Ultimate Truth, which cannot be bent or compromised.
Just curious about your opinions and needing input on figuring all this out.

Limitations of the Mind

How much of our brain do we really use? Is "Mind over Matter" actually possible in the sense that we can move things objects with our mind? Can we communicate with others by just "sending" our thoughts to them mentally? What are the limitations of our minds?

Alegory of the Cave - Plato

All you see is shadows on a cave wall. You're chained facing that way. The shadows are the reflections of people walking behind you in front of a fire. You break the chains easily and turn around.

You now see beyond the reality you've always known. You see other people chained as well but they do not break their chains to see what is going on. They seem satisfied, if ignorant, of the "true" reality around them and accept what they see as reality.

You see that you are in a cave, you see the people walking in circles around the fire. You follow them. Then you notice there is a tunnel leaving out of the cave. You turn and go to the tunnel and look back at the people walking around the fire. They do no move toward the tunnel. They seem satisfied, if ignorant, of the reality beyond that which they accept, just like those weakly chained watching their shadows.

You move down the tunnel. You see a light that gets bigger and bigger. Your eyes adjust. You are outside of the cave now. In a whole new reality. A reality the others don't know of and don't accept.

This alegory raises questions that far surpass what is reality? True it is an introduction to metaphysics, but apply the lesson of this story to other things. Sociology, the spread of religious faiths, etc etc.

As some of you are aware of I'm sure, there is a petition (via MoveOn.org) to censure (I assume "censor") President George W. Bush for his attempt to provide information on why the admistration had supposedly incorrect intelligence on the weapons of mass destruction reason for the war in Iraq. Here is what the petition to congress representatives states:

"In an attempt to escape responsibility for the misleading statements that led the nation to war, President Bush has announced plans to form an independent inquiry to look into what went wrong. An inquiry would serve the Bush administration well: it would envelop the issue in a fog of uncertainty, deflect blame onto the intelligence services, and push any political damage into 2005, after the upcoming election.

But the facts need no clarification. Despite repeated warnings from the CIA and Defense Intelligence Agency, President Bush and his administration hyped and distorted the threat that Iraq posed.(footnote) And now that reality is setting in, the President seeks to pin the blame on someone else.

You have the power to censure the President -- to formally reprimand him for his betrayal of the nation's trust. If ever there was a time to use this function, it is now. If you do not act, Congress risks losing its relevance as a check and balance on the Presidency."

I don't know how many of you are into, or follow politics, however I thought this would be an interesting topic for discussion.

I was browsing through the tribe listing and noticed that mine was not the only tribe dedicated to philosophical discussion. In fact there are a number of philosophy tribes on this network, all containing less than 15 members. I thought that it would be wise to all congregate to one tribe. I'm sending this message to all of the philosophy tribes in hopes that their members will come to A Tribe For Philosophy so that for once, we can all come together in one place.
